Light poppy-rock - but less brianless and more put together than the more mainstream pop rockers ie the All American Rejects, rufio, etc. Fairly fast-paced, cute, upbeat, and fun. Much like Saves the Day, the Get Up Kids's sound varies largely from album to album. Originally, I liked Something to Write Home About much better, but I find I like the louder, more exciting, non-emo album better nowadays :). Favorites include: "The One You Want," "Never Be Alone," "Wouldn't Believe it," "How Long is Too Long," and "Sympathy." I feel it's worth giving a listen to :).
