The Beatles - Rubber Soul

Released in 1965, this is The Beatles' sixth album, and one of the most important recordings in rock history. This album marked a turning point in The Beatles' career, and was the first in a series of revolutionary albums. No longer are The Beatles singing poppy love songs, now they are exploring the capacity of their studio and instruments, and singing about love and other themes from a more mature point of view. Also, this is the first album to include only original compositions and sees the emergence of George Harrison as a solid songwriter.

All 14 songs on this album are incredibly original, but catchy and easy to listen to at the same time. The album opens with the rocker "Drive My Car" and continues with "Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown)", in wich Harrison introduced the sitar for the first time. There are a lot of classics on this album, including McCartney's "Michelle", Lennon's "In My Life" and Harrison's "If I Needed Someone".
